 Dame Angela Lansbury played widow, retired 10th grade English teacher turned mystery writer and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher for twelve seasons. even though Lansbury was the series only regular cast member frequent recurring guest stars appeared including William Windom as Dr. Seth Hazlitt, Michael Horton as Grady Fletcher, Debbie Zipp as Donna Mayberry Fletcher, Claude Akins as Ethan Cragg, Tom Bosley as Sheriff Amos Tupper, Julie Adams as Eve Simpson, Ron Masak as Sheriff Morton Metzger, Jerry Orbach as Harry McGraw, Len Cariou as Michael Haggerty, Keith Michell as Dennis Stanton, Wayne Rogers as Charlie Garrett, Herb Edelman as Lieutenant Artie Gelber, Gregory Sierra as Lieutenant Gabriel Caceras, Louis Herthum as Deputy Andy Broom, Will Nye as Deputy Floyd, Richard Paul as Mayor Sam Booth and character actors Ken Swofford and Bradford Dillman as various characters. "Make Room For Daddy" - "The Danny Thomas Show" - September 29, 1953 - April 27, 1964

  Danny Thomas as Danny Williams with Marjorie Lord as Kathy Williams. Jean Hagen played Danny's first wife Margaret for the first three seasons of the show.  When Hagen quit the character was killed off and Danny married Kathy O'Hara in 1957.  Danny's two children Terry and Rusty were played by Sherry Jackson (later Penney Parker) and Rusty Hamer.  When Kathy joined the family she brought along a daughter, Linda, from her first marriage who was played by Veronica Cartwright.  Louise Beavers and later Amanda Randolph played housekeeper Louise.  Hans Conried made frequent appearances as the eccentric Uncle Tonoose.   The series was entitled "Make Room For Daddy" from 1953 to 1956 on ABC and then from 1956 to 1957 on CBS.  The title changed to "The Danny Thomas Show" at the beginning of the 1957-1958 season and remained until the series concluded in 1964.

  In Lucille Ball's third weekly television series she starred as widow Lucy Carter with Gale Gordon playing her brother-in-law and boss Harrison Otis Carter. In the series Ball's on screen children Kim and Craig were portrayed by her real life children Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz, Jr.

"Smallville" - "Crusade" - September 22, 2004

 When "Smallville" began its fourth season in the fall of 2004 the premiere episode saw the addition of Erica Durance to the cast as the always sassy Lois Lane.  By that point Durance was the fourth actress to portray Lois Lane on television, her predecessors were Phyllis Coates and Noel Neill on the "Adventures of Superman" between 1952 and 1958 and Teri Hatcher on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" from 1993 to 1997.  Durance appeared as a special guest star in thirteen season four episodes before being added to the regular cast in season five and remaining until the series ended following its tenth season on May 13, 2011.

 The original pilot aired on March 21, 1976 and then six months later the series began its weekly run.   Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson were the original angels David Doyle played Bosley, future angels included Shelley Hack, Cheryl Ladd and Tanya Roberts and John Forsythe provided the voice of Charlie Townsend.
