 I realize that now, in the year 2022, there are and have been several different people that have assumed the mantle of "Robin, The Boy Wonder."  This post pays tribute to all the actors who have brought Dick Grayson/Robin to life in live action. The 1943 movie serial Batman, Douglas Croft portrayed Dick Grayson/Robin with Lewis Wilson as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The 1949 movie serial Batman and Robin, Johnny Duncan portrayed Dick Grayson/Robin with Robert Lowery as Batman/Bruce Wayne In the television series "Batman" which ran from 1966 to 1968 the role of Dick Grayson/Robin was brought to life by Burt Ward with Adam West as Batman/Bruce Wayne In the 1995 film Batman Forever, Robin/Dick Grayson was played by Chris O'Donnell with Val Kilmer as Batman/Bruce Wayne In the 1997 film Batman & Robin, Robin/Dick Grayson was played by Chris O'Donnell with George Clooney as Batman  In the currently running series "Titans" which began in 2018, Dick Grayson/Ro

 Celebrating the 68th Broadcast Anniversary of this classic episode! Lucy (Lucille Ball) and Ricky (Desi Arnaz) plan to be away for the summer and decide to sublet their apartment.  Friction arises between the Ricardos and the Mertzes (Vivian Vance and William Frawley) over the fact that the Ricardos will be making a profit on their sublease.  Once that matter is resolved the apartment is sublet to the eccentric Mr. Beecher (Jay Novello).  The next issue that everyone must deal with is where will the Ricardos go when Ricky's gig is canceled and Mr. Beecher refuses to move.

Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball) attempts to pass off a twenty-five-pound piece of cheese as a baby, so she does not have to pay to have it shipped home from Europe.  When Ricky (Desi Arnaz) learns of her plan he refuses to sit with her on the airplane, and she is stuck sitting next to the nosy Evelyn Bigsby (Mary Jane Croft)

Ordinarily all the tributes to those who have passed away are posted on the In Memoriam blog spot, but I have always had a special place in my heart for Dana Plato.  Tragically she left us twenty-three years ago today at the age of 34 under horrible circumstances.  Twelve years ago, her son Tyler took his own life at the age of 26.  I hope they have both found peace, comfort and each other in God's eternal kingdom in Heaven.  

29 years...  "The Golden Palace" was the follow up series to the smash hit "The Golden Girls" featuring Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty reprising their roles as Rose, Blanche and Sophia respectively.  The cast was joined by Don Cheadle as Roland Wilson, Billy L. Sullivan as Oliver Webb and Cheech Marin as Chuy Castillos.  The final episode of the series aired on this day twenty-nine years ago.  Estelle Getty would go on to play Sophia Petrillo for two more years on the spin-off series "Empty Nest", but Betty White and Rue McClanahan played Rose and Blanche for the final time in this episode.   **The photo shown above is actually from an episode of "The Golden Girls"**
